The Families of Vermont Helping Vermont Families
|
When we tell a family their child has cancer, it not only
means medicine but a change in their whole life, every
single day is affected. Physically, emotionally and
financially everything changes. As our team supports
children through their treatments, your support will help
these families through a difficult time. Often one parent
is unable to work because they must care for their child.
The siblings need childcare while parents and the
patient are in the hospital during scheduled or emergent
hospitalizations. While their life stops, the bills continue.
Despite benefits of health insurance, there are co-pays
for medications, procedures and hospitalizations.
Together we can help Vermont families fighting
childhood cancer. Our Pediatric Oncology division at
the University of Vermont relies on the support of The
Connor Turnbaugh Foundation to ensure the best
possible care for our patients.
